Now I see cinegdain as a necessary tool to mask issues, and to create effects only since I love my clean images coming from my Epic. When I dropped these on top of my images with blend mode set to lighten, they were cut out from their black bg perfectly. You could transfer your movie to 16mm film and record it back to HD. Lance i can't see any examples of RED footage on your website. This 'bakes in' the grain in a more realistic manner.

That's what digital should give you, you know, a big juicy sensor that sees every little detail and shadow and then you go into post like a sandbox and you build whatever cimegrain want from that raw material.
